SECTION 7 MUD CIRCULATING SYSTEM

Mud pumps connect to a ground manifold configured with valves for isolating mud pumps for maintenance and or repair during rig123.net' target='_blank'>drilling operations.
The ground manifold connects to the drill floor standpipe manifold by dual hard pipe sections joined by hammer leg unions.

SECTION 8 MUD SOLID CONTROL SYSTEM
A. General description
The system is composed six tank of 320 m3 (2000bbls) and equipped with shale shaker, vacuum degasser, centrifuge, mud cleaner, agitator, mud gun, mud mixing system and necessary accessories. There also set four sets of clear water tanks, all tank surfaces are equipped with anti-rain shed.
Shale tank has four compartments of 40m3 including measuring compartment, sanding compartment, desanding & degassing compartment and pump compartment. Measuring compartment capacity is 10m3. Tank top is equipped with four shale shakers, one vacuum degasser and one agitator. There are one desanding pump in pump compartment. The lower part of sanding compartment is closing type and one measuring pump is installed.
Desanding & desilting tank has four compartments of 57m3 including pump compartments, desilting compartment, centrifuge compartment and storing compartment. One desanding & desilting cleaner and one middle-speed centrifuge are installed on the top of tank, which equipped with three agitators. Pump compartment is at the end and equipped with one desilting pump.
Intermediate tank is 60m3 and divided into three compartments (two storing compartments and one centrifuge compartment). Tank top is installed with one VF speed-regulation centrifuge and equipped with three agitators. One mud laboratory£¨3.5mx£©2.0mX2.5m is installed on the right side near to centrifuge, which is divided into two compartments. One is mud laboratory including clean-water reservoir, working table and water in/out system; the other compartment has eye wash station and sprinkle system.
Mud tank is 47m3 and divided into three compartments including storing compartment, weighting compartment and pump compartment. Tank top has one tiltable weighting material shelf, two jetting hoppers and two agitators. Two weighting sand pumps are installed in pump compartment.
Reserve tank (also shearing tank) is 55m3 and divided into three compartments including shearing compartment, reserve compartment and pump compartment. Tank surface has one cyclone hoppers and three agitators. There set one shearing pump in pump compartment.
Suction tank is 56m3 and has three agitators on tank surface. Three mud pumps are connected with this tank and suct mud by suction pipline.
Four clear water tanks are in line on the rear of mud mixing tank. Total capacity of two water tanks nearing mud mixing tank are 55 m3 and composed of pump compartment and water tank. The other two tanks are 60 m3. The connection among the four tanks is finished by clear water pipelines. The transportation into each position on site is done by water pump.
One liquid-gas separator are on the end of shale shaker tank and connected with diverting pipeline, chock pipeline and flow line.
Anti-rain shed is made of steel with 3mm arc top. Each shed top can be integral hoisted and removed. The top and body takes 100mm squard steel pipes as support and fixed with pin roll. The top connection is done by cover plate. Lighting devices and wiring pipe are installed on the shed top and needn’t be removed during transportation. Anti-rain shed is equipped with transportation sleigh which is convenient for packing and transportating.

Mud gun adopts 6” pipeline locating on the tank surface. The connecting is done by telescoping union.

2 Structure and circuit shape: ellipse
The tank to be rectangle tank welded with 6mm 16Mn steel plate. The 30# H-beam is used to be the main beam of the substructure with 8mm steel plate spreading on the bottom. There could be soil depositional basin and DN50 discharge outlet inside of the tank. There should dustproof breather valve and manhole in the tank.
Two set of oil pump to be equipped in the tank, the oil is to be transported between the oil truck, oil tank, storage tank and diesel engines.
There should be anti-explosion electric box and lights in the pump house.

2. The general structure of the tank
The tank is welded with 6mm corrugated 16Mn steel plate. The upper frame is made of rectangle steel tube. The 30# H-beam is used to be the main beam of the substructure with 8mm steel plate spreading on the bottom. There should be one dustproof pump house in one side of the pump.
3. Function of the water tank
Two pumps and double pipe circuits work together or separately equipped in each tank.. One outlet with 4″valve is in the tank for discharge. The level gauge is located in the outside of the tank to show the water level.
